The Grotto of Exile

In the beginning, three siblings kept the elements of life in balance: Bahar-Taraji, the Goddess of Creation, and her brothers Baljit-Elvedin, the God of Preservation, and Beran-Setaou, the God of Dissolution. The people prayed to the first two but feared the third. Over time this filled Beran-Setaou with envy, which eventually turned into hatred. In the end his rage grew so great that Beran-Setaou killed his sister - the one the people loved most.

The goddess's death had dramatic consequences. A bitter winter froze the world of men. Even the gods suffered. When the enormity of what he had done struck him, Beran-Setaou withdrew and sought solitude. His brother Baljit-Elvedin mourned their sister for a long time, until he set out to find his brother. When he found him in the grotto, a fierce battle broke out between the two, a battle neither of them could win. Still, Baljit-Elvedin managed to seal the grotto and return to the world of men.

Only very few know where the grotto lies - and those who do keep it secret. The Black Dragon rules the underworld and everything that belongs to it. He is still full of hatred for all living things, and everyone who crosses his path will feel his wrath.
